About me....
I have been practicing yoga for over 14 years, rolling out my mat in yoga studios all over the globe.
I was first introduced to Yoga in 2007 in Montreal, Canada, my home and native land. After achieving a diverse educational background with degrees in Social Science, Political Science and Public Relations Management, I broke away from the 9-5 office job life, and moved to the breathtaking islands of the Bahamas. I began to practice yoga regularly under Elaine Kerry, and studied the Foundations of Yoga and decided to venture off and complete my 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training in Costa Rica with the Marianne Wells Yoga School in 2009.
After completing my training in Costa Rica, I headed for a new life in Australia. Following some extensive travelling around the lucky country, with my Aussie husband, and bringing two beautiful daughters into the world.
I began teaching weekly yoga classes in Dunsborough in January 2014. In order to continue my evolution of understanding and help compliment our Yang lifestyles and vigorous Vinyasa practices, I completed my level 1 Healing Art of Yin Yoga Teacher Training in July 2018 and have since grown a huge passion for Yin Yoga, and the anatomy and philosophy behind the practice. With my passion for Yin growing, I moved forward and completed level 2 Healing Art of Yin Yoga Teacher Training in April 2019. Both trainings were with Danielle Mercer at the Spanda School in Fremantle.
I also completed my SUP Yoga Certification with the RIP Curl School of surf in Bali, Indonesia in November 2019 and offer SUP Yoga classes at Meelup Beach and a private Quindalup dam over summer.
In December 2019 my youngest daughter was diagnosed with a 2.5cm hole in her heart and in August 2020 she underwent open-heart surgery. Despite my history as a yoga teacher and having a strong meditation and yoga practice, my family and I suffered with chronic stress and anxiety in the lead up to the surgery and post traumatic stress afterwards. This situation led me to dive deeper into my practice and into the neuroscience of yoga, meditation and sound therapy.
I completed Level 1 & 2 Peter Hess® Sound Therapy Massage course in Fremantle in early 2021 and am now offering Sound Massage Treatments, as well and Sound Meditation classes.
With my passion for neuroscience and the benefits of yoga for mental health increasing, I completed my Advanced 500 hour Yoga Psychology training with Ashley Turner. in May 2022.
My yoga style has evolved over the years and blends Hatha with Vinyasa and Yin in many of my classes to make for a gentle restorative class. My classes combine the Asanas (physical postures), Meditation and Pranayama (breath work) and Sound. I aim to bring peace, light, and energy into my students practice, so they can leave feeling relaxed and calm, and provide a complete balance for the mind, body and soul for yogis of all ages.
Currently I'm offering my leading edge Net-Flex Online On Demand program, that includes various meditations, yoga classes, breathe practices and more, as well as in studio classes, online workshops and trainings coming up in 2023.
